A first blog entry

By the way, this was written in 2006, but Blogger seems to have the year wrong!!

It is 7.30 AM and I am sat in a my friend's bus in Portugal. The bus is an old Bristol/Leyland single decker full-length public transport bus, the sort that I used to see on the streets of my home town when I was a child. They bought it of someone in Scotland for just one pound about eight or nine years ago and lived in it for a while, before moving to Portugal, where they lived in it further. It's now become the office and guest room and is a lovely space to stay in.

Anyway it's Sunday morning at 7.35 AM, there is a mist hanging in this valley in Portugal - Vale Sancho - and no one else is yet up, except me. Well that's obviously untrue as there are many people up, I just don't know who they are, that's all. The birds have already been singing for some time now, their sweet tones pentratring the morning mist and rolling down the valley.

What more can I say? This is my first blog entry on Blogger.com and I'm just trying it out. Shall I get personal? Is anyone out there really interested? Shouldn't they be doing something a little more interesting with themselves than being interested in the ramblings of another individual on the web, or is this a really cool thing, bringing people together from all four corners of the Earth, to share experiences in this everday more global, more connected, yet more globally disconnected world?

We shall see ....
